Chapter 3, Mission 1

After Lu Zeyan finished drawing, everyone else followed suit and each drew a black ball.

Chen Yuan opened the black ball in his hand and got room 403 on the fourth floor. No one knew the layout of this villa until they got to the room.

"What number are you?" Zhang Jianjian suddenly appeared next to Chen Yuan, his eyes fixed on the slip of paper in his hand. He exclaimed in surprise, "What a coincidence! I'm number 401, on the same floor!"

"401? I'm in 402." Another girl walked over, waving the note in her hand, and then said to Chen Yuan, who was standing next to her, "Hello, my name is Lin Wanxing."

"Hello, my name is Chen Yuan," Chen Yuan replied with a smile.

After everyone drew their own rooms, they started to collect their luggage and went back to their rooms.

The villa had an elevator. Those who drew the second floor ticket took the escalator, and the rest took the elevator. When the elevator reached the fourth floor, Chen Yuan noticed a problem.

Of the five female guests, three of them drew rooms on the fourth floor.

Meanwhile, the male guest on the second floor was on the verge of tears, as there were no female guests on the second floor.

Chen Yuan followed behind the three female guests, took a deep breath. It was impossible not to be nervous. After he entered the room, he noticed that the photographer behind him had also followed him in.

Just when he thought the photographer was going to film even the room, the photographer left a card outside the lens and then left.

Seeing this, Chen Yuan was a little puzzled. After putting down his luggage, he went to the counter at the door and picked up the card.

"Task card?"

After calming down, he finally took a look at the room. To be honest, he had drawn a very nice room, with a balcony that faced the villa's yard.

The room is several tens of square meters and is a suite with very luxurious furnishings.

Looking at the 1.8-meter-wide bed, Chen Yuan sighed inwardly, thinking that life was getting better and he could now sleep in a large villa suite.

Since he had brought very little luggage, he quickly took his things out and put them away, then left the room and took the elevator down to the living room.

He was the first to arrive, and while he was there, he took a stroll downstairs. As a dating reality show, he had seen many similar shows on Earth in his previous life.

No matter what kind of variety show it is, cooking is an inevitable part, and of course, the ingredients are all prepared by the production team.

Chen Yuan was assigned to wash the vegetables and help out, while Lu Zeyan and Ji Chengyu, the two male guests, were in charge of washing them on the island.

With ten people, each with their own tasks, it wasn't too crowded.

As time passed and it approached noon, a table full of dishes was laid out on the long table.

Chen Yuan took off his apron and came out of the kitchen. He noticed the gazes coming from the outside and made eye contact with a middle-aged man from the production crew.

Only then did he remember that he still had a mission.

Looking at the twelve-person long table in front of them, the male guests subconsciously sat on the same side. Chen Yuan was stunned. If they sat opposite each other, they would not be able to complete the task.

"..."

"I underestimated this million..." Chen Yuan felt his heart racing. As the female guests began to sit down, and after Zhang Jianjian sat down, Chen Yuan felt that the moment was incredibly long.

Those few seconds of thought felt like an eternity.

The next moment, he walked over and sat down in the seat next to Zhang Jianjian. Beside him was Lin Wanxing, who was just about to sit down, looking completely bewildered.

"Um?"

Lin Wanxing snapped out of her daze, blinked, and looked at Chen Yuan with a puzzled expression. Her delicate baby face and shoulder-length short hair exuded a sense of vitality, but at this moment she looked somewhat aggrieved.

On the female guests' side, the other four had already taken their seats. Except for Lin Wanxing, who was still standing to the side, everyone looked at Chen Yuan in surprise.

To Chen Yuan's left are Zhang Jianjian and another female guest, and to his right are two other female guests.

"May I sit here?" After a tense minute, Chen Yuan asked stiffly.

But he didn't know who to look at or whose opinion to ask, so he simply turned around and looked at Lin Wanxing standing next to him.

"No!" Lin Wanxing was dumbfounded. This handsome guy actually dared to ask her if she could, but it was clearly impossible!

"Okay, of course, no problem." Lin Wanxing hated her own personality, which made her bad at saying no! She slunk away and sat down next to another female guest.

"Uh, thank you." Chen Yuan paused for a moment before replying.

Everyone else was completely bewildered, not knowing what had happened, including Zhang Jianjian, the person involved.

Zhang Jianjian blinked repeatedly, and then his eyes lit up. It seemed that Chen Yuan liked the aloof beauty next to him!

"How about everyone give a brief self-introduction first, and then we can start eating?" Lu Zeyan interrupted everyone's thoughts.

"After introducing ten people, the food is getting cold. Why don't we finish eating first?" Chen Yuan took a deep breath and said, smiling at Zhang Jianjian beside him.

During those ten minutes or so, Chen Yuan felt more nervous than ever before, until everyone put down their chopsticks and the meal was finally over.

Zhang Jianjian didn't dare to look at Chen Yuan at this moment. Although this was a dating reality show, she vowed that she absolutely did not want to be entangled with a male guest on the first day.

"Alright, let's tidy up and meet in the living room so we can get to know each other," Ji Chengyu's voice broke the awkward atmosphere.
