Chapter 101 Saoki
Chapter 101 Saoki
—Organizing a training base—
From afar, Bai Yexiu saw a man with a cornrow leaning against the fence outside the training ground, with a 17-year-old boy sitting at his feet, bound hand and foot. At this moment, the boy was struggling desperately, his eyes filled with hatred and resentment, but because a rag was stuffed in his mouth, he could not shout at the man with the cornrow.
“This is…” Bai Yexiu looked at the person on the ground.
“He was originally just a filler for the research group, but he stood out perfectly in the trials. I originally wanted to train him to be my subordinate, but he doesn’t listen to me and keeps mentioning your code name, although I don’t know where he got it from.” Binga put his hands on his hips, looking slightly annoyed.
Bai Yexiu found it strange that no promising seedling had been able to emerge victorious from the organization's trials for several consecutive years.
Trials are one of the organization's methods for selecting upstarts for its action teams. The organization has established several orphanages and raised a number of children. Twice a year, trials select some children, distribute them with weapons, and force them to fight each other in a closed environment. The survivors are called upstarts and are handed over to members to train as their subordinates, eventually becoming independent codenamed members.
However, in the past few years, almost all the trials have resulted in death, so it is extremely rare for a seedling to emerge.
"Interesting." Bai Yexiu squatted down and looked directly at him.
The boy had stopped struggling at some point, his eyes filled with astonishment and admiration—for Bai Yexiu.
Bai Yexiu took out the rag that had been used to gag the boy and examined him carefully.
This person had light gray hair, brown eyes, and a pleasing appearance. There were several unhealed scars on his face. He had calmed down now, which was quite different from the ferocious appearance he had at first.
"What's your name?" Bai Yexiu asked with a smile, as if talking to a good friend.
“My name is Saki, experiment number 7326…” Saki turned his head away and said, then secretly glanced at Bai Yexiu, and continued somewhat shyly, “Um… you’re so beautiful…”
"Are you trying to curry favor with me? You should know I won't accept it." Bai Yexiu stood up with a smile, and unexpectedly kicked Saki, knocking him to the ground. His purpose was to give Saki a hard time.
“No…” Despite the pain, Zuoqi struggled to his feet and knelt before Bai Yexiu, his voice filled with panic and haste. “I just didn’t want to go with him. I’ve seen you before in the lab, and I actually admire you a lot…”
Bai Yexiu raised an eyebrow and looked at Binga, who was watching the show. Binga understood and took out a stack of papers from his coat: "Take a look at his file. This kid's background is relatively clean. Apart from his mental illness, there's nothing else. I remember you don't have any official subordinates, so taking him in won't be a loss."

After reviewing the file, Bai Yexiu looked at Zuomu, who was kneeling on the ground trembling: "Do you want to come with me?"
"Yes!" Saki answered almost instantly.
Bai Yexiu flicked his finger, and the ropes binding Saki snapped. At the same time, the scalpel that had severed the ropes plunged into the ground beside Saki.
"Stand up. If you can touch me, then you have the right to do so," Bai Yexiu said expressionlessly.
Saki was instantly energized. Ignoring his tattered clothes and still-healing wounds, he got up and launched a fierce attack on Bai Yexiu. Binga consciously moved away from them, leaning against the railing to watch the fight.
With his hands in his pockets, Bai Yexiu effortlessly and expressionlessly dodged Zuo Mu's menacing punches.
After missing three punches, Saki, with his exceptional hearing, heard footsteps behind him. He turned around and launched a flying kick, but Bai Yexiu easily dodged it.
Although Bai Ye's body-cultivation technique wasn't very good, he had the ability to make himself completely untouchable. He was as nimble as a cat, making Saki's punches almost hit nothing at all.
"You have too many flaws. If I were to use my full strength, you would be dead by now." Bai Yexiu dodged with his hands in his pockets, while fiercely provoking Zuo Mu.
Saki gritted his teeth, controlled his disordered breathing, and launched another attack. However, his moves had become chaotic and disorganized after just one simple stimulation, and even Bai Yexiu frowned in dissatisfaction.
The file states that his mind is not mature due to abnormal reasons, but it does not specify the exact age. Bai Yexiu guesses that he is around 12 or 13 years old, which can be seen from watching Saki fight.
Bai Yexiu seized the opportunity to dodge his crucial kick, which led Zuomu to lose his balance. Due to exhaustion, Zuomu fell to the ground with a thud.
"..." Saki stared at the ground, astonished that he seemed unable to even touch the person he admired.
"A fantastic match." Binga clapped a few times rather perfunctorily.
"I didn't ask you to flatter me." Bai Yexiu rolled his eyes at Binga. "This guy is too weak."
Byakuya's words struck Saki like a thunderbolt.
“I admit you have the talent, but,” Bai Yexiu changed the subject, his gaze turning icy as he looked at Zuo Mu, “I really don’t know where you get the confidence to reject Binga’s guidance.”
Besides, you can't even pick up a weapon right next to you. I didn't say you had to be empty-handed.
As soon as he finished speaking, Saki looked at the scalpel stuck in the ground beside him as if he had just woken up from a dream.
"My lord!" Saki scrambled to his feet and knelt down again with a thud. "Please give me another chance!"
"Stop kneeling all day long." Bai Yexiu turned and left, leaving behind a cold back view of the two people, one standing and one kneeling.
“Also,” Bai Yeshu suddenly stopped at the door, “Binga, whatever your purpose is this time, don’t expect me to get involved in your mess with Gin. I’m not helping either of you.”
Binga simply smiled generously: "Fair competition, of course I won't involve you."
Binga thought Cointreau was much more pleasing to the eye than Gin, even though Cointreau and Gin were very close.
"I hope so."
Bai Yexiu stepped out the door, his figure gradually disappearing into the dark corridor.
However, Binga soon received an email from Bai Yexiu.
[Keep him alive, don't kill him. I'll come back in a while. — Coindus]
“Heh,” Binga sneered as he looked at Saki on the ground. “You should be glad that Jundu wanted to give you another chance. You were disobedient and failed to meet my requirements. You should be dead by now.”
"Huh?" Saki looked up in surprise and met Binja's eyes.
"Get up, time for training."
