Chapter 76 The Storm Subsides

Chapter 76 The Storm Subsides

"How much time has passed?"

Outside the secret territory.

Under the hazy sky, Liu Qinglin held a talisman that radiated golden light between his fingertips, the spiritual light flowing on the talisman reflecting his solemn expression.

His gaze was fixed on the churning black vortex ahead—the entrance to the secret realm, and the only passage that could bring those inside out.

"Reporting to you, sir, approximately three hours have passed..."

"Three hours..."

Liu Qinglin murmured softly, his fingertips applying slight pressure, causing the golden light on the talisman to intensify. "According to the time flow between the secret realm and the outside world, a full day should have passed inside."

"Judging by the flow rate, a whole day should have passed inside."

"I wonder how many people are still alive."

Liu Qinglin said:

"Be prepared for the worst. Don't expect anything good to happen at the portal to the secret realm. That's unrealistic."

"First of all, the environment in the secret realm is extremely harsh. They are either in the desert, exposed to the scorching sun, or in the rainforest, suffering from poisonous insects."

The weakest among them would lose the will to resist even the environment itself, let alone fight against the demons within.

"If they are lucky enough to survive in such a harsh environment and to escape the pursuit of demons."

What they need to face is food to fill their stomachs.

"As long as they can survive... sigh."

Liu Qinglin sighed softly, said no more, and with a flick of his wrist, threw the golden talisman in his hand into the black vortex in front of him.

The talisman entered the vortex and was instantly enveloped by the chaotic energy, slowly dissipating.

"Even if they can survive the trials of the environment, the demons, and hunger, we still need to wait for this teleportation talisman to fully activate before we can get them out of there."

"Can they hold out until then?"

A chilly wind swept by.

The attendant stood with his head bowed, not daring to speak.

Only the black vortex continued to slowly churn, silently devouring the surrounding aura, as if telling of the endless dangers within the secret realm.

……

……

Inside the secret realm, yellow sand filled the sky.

Unlike the snow falling heavily in that other secret realm.

This is an endless desert.

The scorching sun beat down on the sand, making it scalding hot. Stepping on it, the burning heat would rise up from the soles of your shoes, easily scorching your feet.

The air was filled with the dry smell of dust, and when the wind blew, yellow sand flew everywhere, blinding people.

Wang Xi hunched his shoulders, his clothes soaked with sweat and clinging to his body, covered in sand and dust, looking utterly disheveled.

He hunched over and carefully traversed the sand dunes.

His eyes scanned his surroundings warily, his ears perked up, alert to the slightest disturbance.

He lived a life of constant fear and trembling in the secret realm.

They dared not speak loudly, nor linger.

Even when they were unbearably thirsty, they only dared to sneak to a sheltered sand dune during the peak of the sandstorm to lick the last bit of moisture remaining in the crevices of the dune.

"Damn it, this awful weather, I'm afraid I'll collapse before I even meet up with that swordsman Li."

Just as Wang Xi carefully circled around a sand dune, preparing to find a place to rest for a while...

A series of hurried and heavy footsteps suddenly came from behind the sand dunes ahead.

Accompanied by a weak yet still ferocious roar, carrying a strong stench of blood and malevolence, it approached his location.

Wang Xi's body froze instantly, the hairs on his body stood on end, and his heart pounded wildly.

It's a lion's roar! The voice of the three-eyed white lion!

He held his breath, slowly poked his head out, and looked in the direction from which the footsteps were coming.

Upon seeing this, he was so frightened that his blood seemed to freeze, his legs went weak, and he almost collapsed to the ground.

A huge, three-eyed white lion was seen limping toward him.

The massive white lion was covered in wounds, almost as if it had been ripped open. The wounds on its legs were so deep that the bone was visible, and blood was still dripping onto the yellow sand, only to be instantly absorbed by the scorching sand.

One of its front legs was clearly badly injured and unable to exert any force, so it could only struggle to escape using its other three legs.

Although slow, it still carried a ferocious, dying quality.

Wang Xi thought he was going to die.

Even if the lion king is seriously injured, he will never let go of this prey that has come to his doorstep.

He could even imagine the scene of being torn apart and swallowed whole by the Lion King.

However, the expected attack did not come.

The lion king continued to limp and flee forward, as if something extremely terrifying was chasing it from behind.

It didn't even glance at Wang Xi, as if it hadn't noticed him at all, and just kept trying its best to escape into the depths of the sand dunes.

He looked utterly disheveled; where was the lion king's majesty now?

Wang Xi stood there, stunned for a long while, before slowly coming to his senses.

He cautiously peeked out, watching the lion king's receding figure, his heart filled with doubt and a sense of relief.

Just as he was about to secretly get up and quickly escape this place of trouble.

A chilling aura suddenly came from behind him, instantly enveloping his entire body!

That aura was cold, eerie, and filled with a strong ghostly presence! It emitted a faint green flame!

It was none other than the Ghost General!

Wang Xi was so frightened that his legs went weak, and he collapsed onto the scorching yellow sand with a "plop".

But the Ghost General ignored his pleas for mercy and didn't even glance at him.

It moved with lightning speed, chasing after the direction the lion king had fled.

Wang Xi heard a mournful lion's roar.

Unbeknownst to him, the Lion King's four legs had been severed by the Ghost General, turning him into a crippled lion unable to move.

The three-eyed lion lay on the yellow sand, howling in agony, its eyes filled with despair and fear.

"Stop! Stop! Why don't you kill people instead of brandishing your blade at us!" the Three-Eyed Lion King's voice was hoarse.

"You...you're a ghost!"

Fresh blood kept flowing from its wounds, staining the yellow sand beneath it red.

The Ghost General punched it in the chin.

The blow was so powerful that it shattered all of the three-eyed lion's teeth, which were then swallowed whole.

The Ghost General carried the half-dead lion king and ran step by step into the distance.

Its destination was in the direction where Li Qingchen was.

The Ghost General plunged his knife into the belly of the Three-Eyed Lion King, then knelt on one knee and respectfully offered a gesture of respect.

"Well done," Li Qingchen praised.

The blessing of the True Lord of Blessing and Wisdom alone was enough to easily annihilate an entire pride of lions, and so far, no side effects have been found.

Li Qingchen was very satisfied!

He couldn't imagine what rewards he would get if he could perfectly clear this dungeon!

"Don't rush to take out its demon core. Keep an eye on it."

Li Qingchen gave the order to the Ghost General, and then opened the game.
