Chapter 146: Saving Lives
Chapter 146: Saving Lives
Upon learning of the evidence, Song Miqiu became much more diligent in her work, and she hurriedly left home to go to the teahouse.
Song Miqiu stood in front of the teahouse, but was stopped by the waiter as soon as she entered. "Are you Song Miqiu?"
"Yes."
Upon hearing this, the waiter smiled and stepped aside to lead Song Miqiu over, saying, "My master instructed me to guide you here."
Song Miqiu nodded gently and followed behind the waiter.
The two walked for an unknown amount of time before the waiter led Song Miqiu to a door.
The waiter stood at the door, opened it, and gestured for Song Miqiu to come in. "I'll see you here. If you need anything, you can call from the stairs."
Song Miqiu simply nodded to indicate that she understood. She frowned and went inside, and the waiter kindly closed the door behind her.
She looked around, puzzled as to what Qingzhi was trying to do, making such a commotion, when it was just evidence.
"Qing Zhi?"
Song Miqiu did not move, but stood still and called out softly.
She called out several times, but received no response. This made Song Miqiu frown in confusion. She held onto the wall and slowly walked inside, sticking her head out.
After walking a few steps, Song Miqiu noticed a figure on the bed.
"Qing Zhi?"
Song Miqiu called softly to the person on the bed, but when the person still did not respond, she strode to the bedside, pulled up the bed curtains, and secured them with the curtain cord by the window before turning her gaze to the person on the bed.
With just one glance, Song Miqiu's expression changed instantly.
Qingzhi lay on the bed, his face extremely pale, with multiple wounds on his body. However, judging from the bandages, they had probably been bandaged up just now.
Song Miqiu frowned even more deeply. She slightly bent her fingers and placed them in front of Qingzhi's nose, but could only feel a faint breath.
Her face was grim, knowing that Qingzhi's life was hanging by a thread, and if he wasn't rescued in time, the consequences would be unimaginable!
Thinking of this, Song Miqiu raised her finger and swiped it in the air. Suddenly, a virtual panel appeared in front of her.
Fortunately, no third party has appeared yet, and Qingzhi is in a coma due to serious injuries and cannot wake up.
Looking at the large pile of life-saving medicines on the panel, Song Miqiu realized that she hadn't yet taken Qingzhi's pulse to check his condition. She quickly placed three fingers on the panel.
"This……"
Song Miqiu pursed her lips, as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. She hadn't expected Qing Zhi to be so seriously injured.
She prepared all the relevant life-saving medicines, but when she tried to redeem them, the system showed that they were not available. Song Miqiu was stunned for a long time before she realized that she did not have enough points.
Seeing this, Song Miqiu became even more anxious. She turned around, scanned her surroundings, and quickly stuffed all the valuables in the room into the system, exchanging them for points.
Before long, the room was almost empty.
Song Miqiu watched as the points on the system panel increased. Although the increase was not significant, it was enough to exchange for a bottle of Qingzhi's life-saving medicine.
She poured the medicine into her palm and stuffed it into Qingzhi's mouth one pill at a time, before finally pouring water over it.
Finally, Song Miqiu pressed one hand on Qingzhi's chin, forcing him to swallow the medicine instead of spitting it out.
After finishing everything, Song Miqiu breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed to the ground, feeling somewhat exhausted.
She had no desire to experience that tense and exciting feeling again.
It was probably the life-saving pill that worked. Not long after, there was a noise on the bed. Song Miqiu quickly got up and went over to see what was going on. She saw the other person looking around at the surroundings in a daze.
"You're finally awake!"
Upon hearing this, Qingzhi looked at Song Miqiu in confusion. Suddenly, he realized something, looked down at his wound, and, confirming that he had returned injured, murmured, "I thought I would never wake up again..."
"I almost didn't wake up." Song Miqiu rolled her eyes subconsciously.
If she hadn't rushed from home to the teahouse for evidence, she might not have known about Qingzhi's severe injuries.
Fortunately, there were many valuables in this room, otherwise Song Miqiu wouldn't have been able to exchange them for points.
She patted her chest, her tone towards Qingzhi becoming much gentler, likely due to the excitement and thrill of escaping death.
But Song Miqiu suddenly thought of something, her expression turned serious in an instant. She stared intently at Qing Zhi's pale face, slammed her hand on the bedpost, and reprimanded him sternly.
"Do you even know how dangerous that was for you!" Song Miqiu still had this thought: what if she hadn't rushed over, but had instead walked over slowly?
The grass on Qingzhi's grave must be half her height by now.
Song Miqiu was furious and kept scolding Qingzhi, who was like an obedient puppy, leaning against the headboard but with his head down.
Song Miqiu talked for an unknown amount of time, until his mouth was dry, before he finally stopped.
She swallowed hard to clear her throat, then sternly reprimanded, "You absolutely must save your life! Even if you disregard everything else, you must think of the former Grand Tutor!"
Wenya, Qingzhi raised her head, her eyes resolute, "It's alright, I'm not afraid to die!"
Upon hearing this, Song Miqiu was so angry that he almost spat out a mouthful of blood on the spot.
She originally wanted the other party to be obedient and treat their lives as the most important thing, instead of them almost dying every time, and she had to follow them around looking for opportunities to snatch them back from the clutches of death.
She subconsciously rolled her eyes at Qingzhi and muttered a few curses under her breath.
Song Miqiu noticed out of the corner of her eye that Qingzhi's face was extremely pale, as if he were hanging by a thread, which saved her from the urge to curse.
She suddenly felt that Qingzhi resembled someone.
After thinking it over and over, Song Miqiu finally remembered who it was.
She had reprimanded Yu Huailin in the same way when she and Yu Huailin escorted Yan's mother and the others back, but since he didn't intend to tell her what he had done, she didn't feel comfortable asking.
Qingzhi knew roughly what the other party did.
Song Miqiu took a deep breath and explained in a low voice, "That's not what I meant. What I meant was that you need to be alive first before you can take revenge properly. If you're dead, how will you take revenge?"
"What if I become a ghost and go after them to claim their lives?"
Qingzhi paused for a moment, then chuckled and said, "Your idea is good. You can become a ghost and scare them without getting hurt, and you can also see how they run around the house because they are scared by the ghost."
At this point, Qingzhi couldn't help but think about it more deeply, but what he heard was a soft curse in his ear.
He glanced at Song Miqiu with a smile, "I heard it."
"So what if I heard it? Do you think I'm afraid of you?" Song Miqiu couldn't persuade him any further and rolled her eyes at Qing Zhi.
The other person smiled and then whispered, "The item is in Consort Can's hands."
