Chapter 412 Holy Water

Chapter 412 Holy Water

"This..." Shocked, the old man finally managed to utter a single word.

Only ten magic stones remain on the platform, and they are all genuine.

Chao Bufan naturally didn't stand on ceremony, leaving behind four medium-grade magic stones, while the other six magic stones all became his possession.

"Do you want them or not? If not, I'll take these four magic stones too." Chao Bufan turned around and said to the stunned Bridal and the others. Then he turned around and walked to the stone pillar in the middle, picked up the small stone bowl, scooped up a bowl of holy water, and drank it all in one gulp without hesitation.

"Huh?" Once they realized what was happening, Bridal and the others didn't hesitate for a second. They rushed to the platform like madmen, each grabbing a pill and then, like Chao Bufan, drinking a bowl of holy water.

The holy water is colorless and tasteless, just like a glass of plain water, but after drinking it, you feel a chilling sensation.

Since it was holy water, Chao Bufan didn't want to waste any more of it, so he said, "Old sir, no one will drink this holy water anyway, so it's better not to waste it."

Without waiting for the old man's reaction, the magic wand touched the stone bowl containing the holy water, and the stone bowl immediately disappeared.

"Young man, what's your name?" The old man, realizing what had happened, ignored the matter of the holy water, sat back down on the stone bench, and then asked about Chao Bufan's name.

"Sir, my name is Chao Bufan," Chao Bufan replied respectfully.

"Are you all students of the magic academy?" the old man asked again.

"Yes, sir."

The old man nodded, then stood up and asked, "How's that brat Smith doing?"

"Huh?" Chao Bufan and the others were slightly surprised. This old gentleman actually called Principal Smith a brat, so what...?

"Sir, who are you?" Bridal asked cautiously.

"Me? It's been so long, I don't even remember my own name anymore." The old man shook his head, as if talking to himself.

"Huh?" Chao Bufan and the others were surprised again. They had even forgotten their own names. They were speechless.

The old man didn't even glance at them, seemingly lost in thought. After a moment, he muttered to himself, "Cressdorf? Dolph Cressdorf? Sleikdorf? Which one is my name?"

The old man was troubled by his name; he seemed to have truly forgotten what his name was.

"Huh?" Chao Bufan and the others exchanged glances, all looking surprised.

"Alas, I've even forgotten my own name," the old man sighed softly.

“Sir, Principal Smith is doing well!” Fenritt said first.

"That brat has actually become the principal. No wonder he hasn't come to see me in so long." The old man regained his previous demeanor and said calmly.

"Sir, do you know our principal?" Bridal asked cautiously.

"I know him. I've known him since he was wearing open-crotch pants," the old man answered without any attempt to hide his identity.

"Uh!" Everyone was surprised again.

Suddenly, the stone chamber began to shake violently without warning, like an earthquake, causing clods of earth and pebbles to fall from the chamber.

"This..." Everyone staggered, then gasped in horror.

"Was it an earthquake?" Curry exclaimed in alarm.

However, as soon as he asked the question, the stone chamber returned to normal; it came and went quickly.

"Huh! It's alright now," Curry exclaimed in surprise, as if talking to himself.

"Sir, what just happened? Why did an earthquake suddenly occur out of nowhere?" Dosru asked.

"Alas!" the old man sighed, "They've come to cause trouble again."

"Them?" Chao Bufan and the others were slightly startled, wondering: Could there be others here?

"Sir, who are they that you're talking about?" Bridal was the first to ask.

“A few of my friends,” the old man replied casually. He then stood up, walked to the platform, and with a slight spell, the entire platform sank, revealing a spacious, bright, downward-sloping underground staircase.

After the passage opened, the old man stepped out with his hands behind his back and walked into the passage.

Bridal and the others quickly turned their gaze to Chao Bufan, as if seeking his opinion on whether they should follow along and take a look.

Fortunately, Chao Bufan did not disappoint them. He smiled slightly and then took the lead, following after them. Bridal and the others were overjoyed and followed as well.

Since we're out having fun, we should definitely make the most of it, especially if something "good" happens, then we can't miss it.

The passage wasn't very long. When Chao Bufan and the others emerged from it, they were greeted by a canyon surrounded by mountains on all sides, much like a giant sinkhole. In the very center of the canyon stood an ancient, cannon-shaped building, hundreds of meters high and probably thirty meters in diameter. Due to its age, the exterior walls were covered in lush green moss.

Four white-haired old men, each about three feet tall, walked out of the ancient building side by side. Compared to the building behind them, these men seemed insignificant. However, each of the four old men had an angry expression, looking as if they wanted to devour someone.

The old man didn't linger and went straight to meet the four people. They stopped about ten meters apart. Chao Bufan and the others tactfully stood behind the old man, saying nothing, waiting for what was about to happen.

The old man on the far right was thin and withered, a veritable "mummy." If it weren't for the almost spitting "flames" in his eyes, which revealed that he was still alive, one would truly believe he was a standing "mummy." Coupled with his dark green clothes, his appearance was indescribably eerie and sleazy.

The white-haired old man standing next to him, dressed in yellow robes and a yellow crown, had a face full of expressionless, fleshy muscles that looked harder than iron and stronger than steel, as if the whole world owed him money.

The third elderly man with white hair was dressed even more strangely, his clothes made of pieces of colorful silk, like the beggar's costume on a stage. He was also emaciated, but his face was lifeless, giving the impression that he was "terminally ill."

The old man on the far left and last one weighed less than the three people to his right combined. He looked like a living ball of flesh, and his robust body made his walk very elastic, like a dribbled basketball. Although his weight was unique and "outstanding", he was no slower than the others when walking.

These four men, though different in stature and appearance, were all old men with fierce faces and valiant movements. Their gestures were also exactly the same, none of them being a fraction faster or slower than the others.
