"That's none of my business!" An Ying angrily walked past him and ran quickly toward the instructors' office.
Yi Rui scratched her hair in frustration, her disgust for Ruan Zilu growing stronger.
After dinner, Xi Yu and Ruan Zi strolled leisurely back to their dormitory. After walking for a while, they saw Yi Rui standing straight in the middle of the passageway.
Ruan Zilu subconsciously gripped Xi Yu's sleeve, then felt that she was being too cowardly, so she quickly let go and raised her chin.
"Captain Yi's mission time has passed, and he is still at the military academy. I wonder if you have applied for permission?" Xi Yu said to him calmly.
Yi Rui's lips twitched. He found this girl's words too sharp; he always felt like he couldn't win an argument! He simply stared at Ruan Zilu, his face grim, and ordered, "Contact the head of the Ruan family immediately and tell him that our engagement is impossible, and I will never marry you!"
Ruan Zilu stared blankly, utterly bewildered. She had never said she wanted to marry him! Besides, the marriage was just talk; nothing was actually settled yet. If he hadn't shouted about it as soon as they met yesterday, everyone wouldn't have found out!
Thinking of this, Ruan Zilu became angry. She frowned and retorted, "I don't want to marry you! As for when I'll bring it up with the head of the family, that's my business! If you can't wait, then go talk to your own father!"
“You…” Yi Rui’s face darkened. Being ridiculed by a young girl like Ruan Zilu made him feel very embarrassed.
He looked coldly at Xi Yu, and the thought of An Ying being heartbroken because of this younger sister fueled his anger.
