My husband is too wild, I need to go home and find my mom.

Chapter 24 The Embrace of Life

Chapter 24 The Embrace of Life

"Isn't it said that the Beast God is omnipresent?" Lin Ni asked curiously.

“Yes, the Beast God is everywhere; it just depends on when and where you can sense His presence.” Aya added, “Only by constantly meditating and understanding the Beast God more will you gain more of His power. Whether you meditate on the image of the Beast God or anything related to Him, you can advance in your cultivation.”

"The image of the Beast God?" Linni murmured. "Does anyone know?"

Aya put her hand to her lips and made a shushing gesture: "Everything about the Beast God can only be understood intuitively, not explained in words."

Lin Ni closed her eyes and tried to think about this mysterious beast god: omnipresent, like air? In any case, her mind was blank.

They came to a large cave where dozens of young animals were playing. Most were gorillas, but there were also many monkeys, and a few wolves, leopards, foxes, and other wild beasts. The gorillas and monkeys squeaked and jumped around, creating a rather frightening scene. Aya went over and played with some of the young animals, kissing and hugging them. Several of the larger animals ran over and tried to get close to Linni, which frightened her so much that she took several steps back and hid behind Bai Shu.

Bai Zhu roared at the cubs, then swept them away with its claws and tail.

Seeing Linni hiding behind Baishu, Aya smiled and put down a baby gorilla she was holding. She said to Linni, "Our tribe raises its cubs together. These cubs are my previous offspring. Aren't they cute?"

If there were only a few cubs, Linni might have happily played with them, but dozens of wild animals jumping, screaming, and howling—it was the first time she'd seen so many wild animals together, and she was truly terrified and couldn't accept it! So she forced a smile and said, "They're so, so cute!"

Aya played with the cubs for a while, then reluctantly left with Linni.

As dusk fell, they sat together on the open space in the center of the village. Around the open space, many bonfires were set up in a circle, roasting various kinds of prepared game. In front of them were piles of fruits that Linni had seen before and those she had never seen before, making it feel like a bonfire party.

Aya led Linni to sit down by a campfire, chatting and waiting for the bonfire party to begin.

At this moment, the people of the Ape-Beast Tribe gathered from all directions and took their seats. Ye and Aya's three partners found their way over and sat down next to their respective partners. Linni noticed that the beastmen of this tribe were all very dark-skinned. Most of the male beastmen were only slightly lighter than African blacks, while the females were a little lighter, like those who had lived in a fishing village by the sea for a long time. As she was observing silently, she suddenly noticed that Bai Shu and Bai Ji had quietly retreated to the back of the crowd. She looked at Ye, but he shook his head. Linni's eyes darkened, guessing that the beastmen were not allowed to participate in this kind of party because of their beast-like forms. When almost everyone had arrived, the Ape-Beast Chieftain appeared, leading a group of monkeys behind him. These monkeys were all carrying large stone basins. Linni smelled a strong aroma of wine: Could this be the legendary monkey wine?

The orcs around the campfire cheered softly when they saw the stone basins. Aya, standing nearby, excitedly said to Linni, "This is our tribe's special jam wine. Only the monkey orcs know how to make it. It's delicious! Our chief is so generous today!"

Over there, the monkeys were using a hard, dried fruit shell as a cup to serve everyone a cup of monkey wine. The chief of the ape tribe said, "By the Beast God, to welcome the bountiful autumn harvest and to welcome the arrival of the Female Forest and the High Beastman Night, let us raise our jam wine high, hoping that the Beast God will bless the ape tribe with abundant food and a strong tribe!"

All the beastmen present raised their jam wine cups and said together, "May the Beast God bless the Ape Beast Tribe, ensuring abundant food and a powerful tribe!"

Linni and Ye also raised their jam wines along with everyone else, but Linni said, "May the Beast God bless the Beastman Continent with abundant food!" After saying that, she suddenly had a wonderful feeling. Seeing that everyone had drunk the jam wine in one gulp, she also brought it to her lips and took a small sip. Accompanied by the rich sweetness, a pure wine flavor exploded in her mouth. Without the spiciness of modern wine, it was very smooth on the throat. Linni couldn't help but take another big gulp.

Aya chimed in, "Isn't it delicious? Although drinking too much can make you dizzy, all the beastmen in our tribe love it!"

Linni nodded: "It's delicious!"

They began to enjoy the roast meat, everyone seemed happy and enthusiastic. Linni didn't like the meat roasted by these tough, dry wild animals, and only ate a few bites with various fruits before stopping. Ye even asked her if she wanted him to catch some small animals for her, but Linni shook her head and said, "No need, I'll just eat these fruits."

Everyone was happily eating roasted meat when suddenly a violent coughing fit erupted from the crowd nearby, causing panic among the beastmen. Aya and Linni went to investigate and found a female choking on food. Her partner was patting her back, while the woman herself was pounding her chest and trying to clear her throat, indicating a severe choking. Several beastmen were frantically trying to dislodge the food, patting and pounding it, for a long time. Linni noticed her face was flushed red; if they couldn't get the food out soon, she might suffocate. So she went over and said, "Let me try."

The female's mates, who were choking, looked at her with distrust, but having no better option, they made way for her. Linni stepped forward to hug her, but found herself too short. She asked Ye to find her a rock to stand on. By this time, the female was unable to speak. Linni stood behind her, one leg forward, positioned between the female's legs in a lunge position, the other leg extended behind her. She wrapped her arms around the female's waist, causing her to lean forward. Then, she made a fist with one hand, placing the knuckles two finger-widths above the female's navel, and covered the fist with her other hand. She then thrust repeatedly, quickly, and forcefully upwards and backwards—once, twice, three times… Seeing that the female hadn't improved, the onlookers questioned, "What is she doing?"

"Ahua is dying, is she trying to kill her?"

Ahua's partner also came up and tried to pull Linni away: "If you don't know how, then don't mess around, let go of Ahua!"

His hand was blocked by the night, and a conflict seemed imminent. Suddenly, Ahua, in Linni's arms, vomited, finally expelling the foreign object stuck in her throat. Ahua's male mates all gathered around, asking her with concern how she was doing. Ahua vomited for a while, then cleared her throat and looked at Linni gratefully, saying, "Thank you, Beast God, for sending you to our tribe and saving my life!"
