Chapter 38: Exhausted and fell asleep

Hongfei looked at the three disbelieving people in front of her, then looked down at her own body. She sighed inwardly; another day of wanting to grow up.

But the immediate problem still needed to be solved, Hong Fei thought for a moment. She stood up and said to Li Xiangyi and the others, "Come with me." Then she walked out of the courtyard.

Hong Fei went outside the courtyard and found a relatively spacious spot. In front of Li Xiangyi and his two disciples, she summoned her peculiar mount, the "Red Dust Carriage." Seeing the carriage appear out of thin air before them, the three of them widened their eyes in astonishment.

Li Xiangyi and his two disciples looked at the sky, then ran to the carriage. They circled the carriage curiously, touching it and muttering, "Is this real?"

Hong Fei gave Li Xiangyi a disdainful look, which was caught by Li Xiangyi, who was looking up at her.

Hong Fei, seeing that Li Xiangyi had seen it, didn't try to hide it. Instead, she said disdainfully to Li Xiangyi, "You've even tried to control it before, yet you act like you've never seen anything like it. And you're the sect leader of the Gu Clan?"

Upon hearing Hong Fei's words, Li Xiangyi immediately stood up straight. He pretended as if nothing had happened, but only for a moment. Then he looked at Hong Fei and said, "I thought you parked this carriage at Si Gu Gate, but I didn't expect you to carry it with you. Are you really not from this world?"

“Absolutely genuine. Haven’t you heard of the Three Thousand Worlds?” Hong Fei said.

"So there really are three thousand worlds!" Li Xiangyi exclaimed.

"What was your original world like?" Li Xiangyi asked again.

Hongfei thought for a moment and replied, "My original world is completely different from yours. Even if I told you now, you wouldn't understand. Besides, you can't go there. I can't go back myself. It's no use telling you."

"Then the place you mentioned that can cure me... isn't it your original world?" Li Xiangyi asked again.

“Of course not. That’s another world. But you can go to that world. However, I need to find the spatial coordinates in your world first, so I can open the teleportation array and you can go to that world to get the cure,” Hong Fei explained.

"Where are those so-called spatial coordinates?" This time, it wasn't Li Xiangyi who asked, but Qi Mushan. Apparently, they had had enough of the carriage. Having overheard Hong Fei and Li Xiangyi's conversation, they asked the question.

"I don't know either. We'll have to look for it slowly," Hongfei said with a helpless shrug and a pout.

Upon hearing Hongfei say she didn't know either, Granny Ling said anxiously, "What about Xiangyi's poison?" She was extremely worried. Even Qi Mushan frowned, looking very concerned.

Seeing their concern for Li Xiangyi, Hongfei could only comfort them, "Don't worry so much. Li Xiangyi will be fine for a while. The little bit of poison in his body won't kill him. Besides, I have some antidote pills on me. Although they can't cure his poison, they can suppress it."

Li Xiangyi also spoke up to comfort his master and mistress: "Master, mistress, don't worry too much. The poison in my body is not serious now. Hongfei also said that there is a place that can cure my poison. It's just that we haven't found the entrance yet. I'll go with Hongfei to find it."

Just as Li Xiangyi finished speaking, he suddenly heard Hong Fei yawn beside him. Looking over, he saw that Hong Fei looked exhausted, her eyes half-closed but trying hard to stay awake. He also noticed that Hong Fei was secretly touching her stomach. He then remembered that so much had happened that day. Hong Fei had been running around with him and hadn't eaten yet. She was just a child, and she was probably exhausted. So he turned to Qi Mushan and his wife and said, "Master and Mistress, the poison in my body won't cause any problems anytime soon. Why don't we get something to eat first? Hong Fei has been running around with me all day and is tired too. Let's eat and rest early, and we can talk about other things tomorrow, okay?"

Qi Mushan and his wife looked at Hong Fei and found that she really looked tired and seemed dazed. Since Li Xiangyi's poisoning couldn't be rushed, they went to prepare food together.

Hong Fei and Li Xiangyi returned to the stone bench in the courtyard and sat down. Hong Fei lay on the stone table waiting for her meal, and before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.

Hongfei woke up hungry the next morning. She opened her eyes and found herself lying in bed. Touching her stomach, she felt incredibly hungry. She heard some noises outside. Hongfei sat up, put on her shoes, and went to the door. Opening it, she saw Li Xiangyi practicing his sword in the courtyard.

Hearing the door open, Li Xiangyi stopped what he was doing. Looking over, he saw that Hong Fei had gotten up. He said to Hong Fei, "You're up. Are you hungry? Sit in the yard for a while, and I'll go get you some food." He put away his sword and walked towards the kitchen.

Hongfei saw Li Xiangyi go to fetch the food, so she walked to the stone bench in the courtyard and sat down, her eyes still looking towards the kitchen.

Li Xiangyi came out of the kitchen carrying food and saw Hong Fei sitting on a stone bench, staring at him without blinking—or rather, at the food he was carrying. Li Xiangyi smiled, placed the food on the stone table in front of Hong Fei, and said, "Hungry? Eat up!"

Hongfei picked up her chopsticks and bowl and started eating, nodding as she ate; she was truly hungry.

Li Xiangyi sat opposite Hong Fei, watching her. She was wolfing down her food; she was clearly starving.

Hongfei watched Li Xiangyi sitting opposite her, only watching her eat. After swallowing the food in her mouth, she asked, "Aren't you eating?"

When Li Xiangyi heard Hong Fei's question, he replied, "I've already eaten, you can eat."

Hongfei nodded and continued eating.

After Hongfei finished eating, Li Xiangyi asked her to sit down and then cleared away the dishes and took them to the kitchen to wash. Hongfei sat on the stone bench, looking left and right. "Huh? Where are Qi Mushan and his wife?" Hongfei planned to ask Li Xiangyi when he came out.

Not long after, Li Xiangyi came out of the kitchen. He straightened his sleeves as he walked and sat down on the stone bench opposite Hong Fei. Seeing Hong Fei looking at him, he asked, "What's wrong? Is there something wrong with me?"

"No, but where are your master and mistress? Senior Qi and the others have gone out," Hong Fei asked.

"Oh, they went to town to buy some medicine. They probably won't be back until the afternoon," Li Xiangyi replied.

Li Xiangyi picked up a teapot that had been placed on the stone table sometime ago, took a teacup, poured a cup of tea, and handed it to Hong Fei. He then picked up another teacup, placed it in front of him, and poured a cup of tea as well. He then sat down, looking as if he wanted to have a long talk with Hong Fei.

Hong Fei was completely taken aback by Li Xiangyi's posture. What was Li Xiangyi up to? Hong Fei imagined it all, then shook her head, trying to clear her mind of those wild thoughts. Whatever, she'd deal with it as it came. Hong Fei wanted to see what Li Xiangyi was up to!
