Chapter 105: Accepting the Defeat
Chapter 105: Accepting the Defeat
"You mean the school rules?" Moody said casually. "Oh, I think there is such a thing. I can't remember it clearly."
"There is no school rule in Hogwarts that allows professors to transfigure students." Winster said, suppressing his anger.
"When we make a mistake, it is usually handled by the dean of the college, not by a professor punishing us privately. You are violating the school's rules! Professor."
Winster pointed the tip of his wand to the ground and said this, to show that he had no intention of resisting the professor's authority before - he did not want to be convicted of assaulting the professor.
He didn't think the professor would attack the students, but he was still on guard - worried that Moody would still not let Malfoy go.
The magic eye passed through Winster's tense hand - Winster's hand felt cold, and the hand holding the cedar wand shrank again. The tip of the wand drooped to the ground.
"Dean... Humph, who is your dean?"
"Snape," Winston replied, hoping that he would be intimidated by Snape's power as head of house - if he had the slightest scruple.
Snape was the head of the house, after all.
"Severus Snape, sir." Winster said respectfully.
"Hmph... Snape... old friend, I've been looking forward to having a good chat with him." Moody said disgustedly, "But not now, wait until this kid who attacked from behind is punished-"
He said maliciously, his eyes flashing with an ambiguous light.
The ferret screamed again, staring at Moody fiercely, and its little mouth kept muttering something that sounded like an insult.
As if Moody could see through what it was saying, he raised his wand and pretended to take a heavy step forward. "Blah!"
The weasel, who was taking advantage of the fact that no one could understand him, was so frightened that it stood up, its long upper body swayed, and it fell backwards with its two claws scratching in the air.
He quickly turned over and climbed up to hide behind Winster's trouser legs, trying to use him to block Moody's sight. Winster almost laughed out of anger, and felt a little regretful that he didn't want to bother with this annoying thing.
But Snape was out - even leaving school to help him - and as a student who stayed in the school, Winston had to defend the dignity of Slytherin for him and maintain the peace of the college when the dean was away... If possible, he really didn't want to care about Malfoy.
Winster had no intention of provoking the professor—he meant to say—
"No offense, Professor Moody," Winster said carefully.
"I want to know what Malfoy has done wrong to deserve such a severe punishment."
Winston glared at Draco inconspicuously.
At this time, Luo Ou squeezed through the crowd and whispered to Winster about the whole process that had just happened, supplementing his original speculation that it was just a sneak attack by Malfoy.
"I can't help but praise your amazing courage, Draco." Winston squeezed out a voice from between his teeth. But he could only bite the bullet and face Moody.
He didn't want to become another stoat, risking broken bones by swinging back and forth in public - that would be the end!
——It refers to personal image, and also refers to exposing the incompetence of the person involved. No matter how many problems are encountered, this kind of thing can only be attributed to the incompetence of the person involved.
"If it was just a sneak attack, I don't think it was a big mistake - please allow me to defend him, professor, he doesn't deserve such a crime." Winster said calmly.
After all, for the matter of Moody transforming Malfoy, he would at most be warned, and he would never be expelled.
No one wanted to take the risk of a halfhearted warning from one side and gamble that helping Malfoy wouldn't make them remembered.
"Huh, kid, you said you don't think sneak attack is a mistake?"
"I think it's right to do whatever it takes to win," Winster said. "It's normal. Before the duel is over, I think everything he did was legitimate and reasonable."
A few people nodded secretly.
"Their witnesses did not announce the result of the duel. According to the rules of the duel, this duel is far from over."
"Oh?" Moody asked in a questioning tone. His expressionless scarred face looked particularly intimidating. "Even if I attack from behind, do you think it's okay?"
He glanced at the people around him and asked with interest.
"Yes, as long as he can win - attacking from behind is also one of his abilities." Winster said calmly, "No matter what method he uses against the enemy, it is not excessive."
There was a burst of discussion among other colleges regarding his words.
Although this was a common view among Slytherins, no one had ever admitted it so bluntly.
"Really, lad?" said Moody, grinning. "An excellent idea. I agree that it is never too late to use any means against Dark wizards and those in the process of becoming Dark wizards -"
“Click!” “Click!”
Winster's hair suddenly exploded. The armor spell he practiced repeatedly in the third grade popped out before his consciousness itself, making a crisp shattering sound. Before he could react, a red light flashed in front of his eyes. The gray mixed magic power in Moody's body lit up for the second time and flowed along his arm. That moment was fast and slow. Winster only had time to shout: "Armor protection!"
The armor spell popped out at the dazed ferret, and the red light was bounced off and hit the stone slab, then rebounded onto an innocent student - he rolled his eyes, stuck out his tongue and fainted.
"what!!!!"
Now no one dared to come closer to watch. Some people recognized that this silent spell was just a stunning spell.
"Quiet!" Moody roared, and walked over aggressively on his wooden leg, roughly grabbed the student who had just fainted, and chanted a spell to wake him up.
"I told you, don't just stand here and watch the fun!" He roared, "You have no awareness of prevention. When you encounter danger, you don't know how to leave but are still standing here watching the fun! In the war, you will be the first to die!"
Someone cursed under his breath and shouted to the crowd, "This is not a war!"
"You're fighting all the time!" Moody roared back at the crowd. "This time it's just a Stunning Spell! What about next time? You'll know what I mean when you encounter the Killing Curse!"
Winster broke out in a cold sweat and quickly signaled Luo to find Professor McGonagall.
Moody turned around and praised, "Good reaction, kid!" His big eye glanced at the wand that moved only after Winston cast the spell for the second time, "Wandless Armor Charm? Not bad." He grinned, as if trying to smile friendly, but the scars on his face only made it look more terrifying.
The stoat that was attacked for the second time was finally frightened to the point that its eyes were filled with tears. It collapsed on the ground. After recovering from the shock, it suddenly grabbed Winster's robe and quickly drilled into his sleeves like crazy.
"?"
Get out of here! Winster angrily swung his sleeves in an attempt to throw Draco out.
Why the hell did you get into my sleeve?! Winster was greatly shocked.
Draco squeaked imploringly and tried frantically to get into his sleeves.
Even if you are afraid, don’t get into my sleeve - I’m not your protective shield!
Winston gave Draco a death stare.
I'll deal with you later, he gritted his teeth.
Draco held on tightly, swearing to hide in his clothes until he changed back. Winston could only tolerate Draco holding on to the edge of his robe sleeve with a sullen face. If he dared to get in again, he would strangle him to death!
Winster's face turned pale and expressionless. He raised his wand to guard against Moody going crazy again.
"But it's still too brittle. Try your silent spell." Moody said in a rough voice. After listening carefully, he found that his voice did not sound like a natural pronunciation, but more like the sequelae of some permanent injury.
"No." Winster refused. He was now on edge, fearing that the former Auror professor would suddenly attack them, under the pretext of cultivating their combat awareness.
"None of us are dark wizards, nor are there any reserve dark wizards here. You shouldn't attack us, professor." Winston protested, "You are taking the lead in violating the rules. Slytherin mistakes should be handed over to the dean and handled internally by Slytherin. Other colleges do the same!"
"Not now..." said Moody, "...but who knows in the future." The magic eye rolled over, and the Slytherins standing here shuddered inexplicably.
"I knew most of your fathers before," he said slowly. "Go back and tell them... put it this way... Moody is watching you, watching your sons, and don't think you can get away with committing crimes." His voice echoed in the hall, and his wooden legs made an aggressive sound on the floor.
"What - what crime?" Professor McGonagall came hurriedly, and Colum's inconspicuous figure flashed past behind her.
Professor McGonagall was surprised and said, "What are you talking about, Moody? We shouldn't threaten students' parents. There are no criminals here!"
She glanced around Moody. The place was a mess. The chairs and tables were pushed aside, leaving a circular empty space. There were traces of spells on the ground.
Her mouth gradually opened into an O shape: "What did you do? Did you have a fight?" She felt it was ridiculous.
At this time, Draco loosened his claws and slipped out of Winster's sleeve, running all the way to Professor McGonagall and trying to tell her the whole process with gestures.
Professor McGonagall stared at the snow-white animal, and seemed to realize something, and her voice began to tremble: "Don't tell me this is a student, Moody!"
"Yes," said Moody. "He duelled in the Great Hall, lost, and then attacked—and I taught him a lesson."
"Oh, dear!" exclaimed Professor McGonagall. "That doesn't involve Transfiguration - we never do that!"
She squatted down and quickly checked the ferret, which seemed to be ravaged, and drew out her wand, waving it, changing her mind and gestures as the spell changed. With a crackle, Malfoy reappeared in the same place, with tears in his eyes and a humiliated and resentful flush on his face. Although he was greatly frightened and a little bumped, he was still intact - he glanced at Moody with a vicious look.
"I want to, I want to shout me--"
"Shut up," said Winster.
Draco shut up immediately, and only dared to look at Moody who was talking to Professor McGonagall with resentment.
"Come here," said Winster.
Draco came over with his head lowered and stood behind him.
"Let me explain!" He wanted to speak eagerly.
"If you have any excuse, go back and explain it." said Winster.
Draco fell silent.
Winster turned to look at him, "Where's your witness, Selwyn?"
Draco raised his head and caught Selwyn, who was halfway through running but couldn't help but stay to watch the show, from the edge of the crowd. "There!" He pointed to Winster.
Selwyn hadn't realized that he had been discovered hiding in the crowd, and was spying on the conversation between Professor McGonagall and Moody, with a gloating smile on his face.
Winster narrowed his eyes and said something to Luoou. Luoou smiled heartily, gave him a thumbs up, turned around and ran into the crowd and disappeared.
Moody snorted, "Why don't you ask this student what he did?"
"I didn't do anything!" Draco yelled.
Moody limped closer on his wooden leg, and even after being stopped by Professor McGonagall, he still pointed at Malfoy and said in a hoarse voice: "The spell that I interrupted! You should remember what evil ideas were flowing through your little head at that time!"
